Trust the Vision

In the beginning of September, I spent two consecutive weekends up in the mountains, in a small city called Leadville. One weekend we were camping with two other families, and the following weekend it was just me, my partner and his mother visiting us from out of state. We stayed up by the Twin Lakes, and the aspen leaves were starting to change into more of a shade of yellow. Prior to coming up here, I had been busy with getting back to my school job, getting my daughter back into school mode, and unfortunately busy forgetting.

It is easy to forget that we are human beings, not human doings. I catch myself getting lost in the mundane at times, forgetting about myself and things that are important to me. I think every mom would nod their head to this. And every person reading it. In a stage of transition and transforming parts of our lives from "this to that", "old to new", "past and future", it is easy to get lost in the chaos between the two. Forgetting the vision of where we are going, feeling overwhelmed by the steps to get there.

This is how I felt one morning up in Leadville, so I decided to go for a run. Helps me clear my system. I ran up a ridge where I had a nice overlook over Twin Lakes. And they started communicating with me.

By "they" I mean my guides, angels, or whatever name one wants to call them. I have not shared with that many that I am intuitive. Mainly because people tend to want to put labels to it. They asked me to sit down on a rock, and after being told to just keep focusing, keep taking one tiny step at a time, they also asked why I keep forgetting my vision? The next thing they said was hilarious.

"If you keep forgetting this, why don’t you get it tattooed on you?"

Later that evening, we were walking around in Leadville just browsing in the stores when we suddenly walked past a Walk-in Tattoo studio.

I stopped and thought for a few seconds. Then I walked in, and I got a tattoo. So that I may never doubt or forget my vision.
